Everyone has met player(s) who play characters that are less than optimal associates. Sometimes though they can be fun to deal with, and sometimes less so.
This character type I decided I would use a way to get the character introduced to the group in a bizarre way that made him the foil for a group of adventurers.

It also describes the way I felt about my character frequently in ED groups, well those under that GM. I never seemed to make good choices for ED. Which I suppose is part of the concept behind Heroic Tourney, to help you make better choices.
